Flow Newsletter

Overview

As a part of Flow’s web and graphic design I created Flow Without Bounds Ministries (Flow)’s quarterly newsletters. Each newsletter process began with calls with the content creator, to discuss expectations for the newsletters. Flow did not have any previous newsletters, so I was able to let my creativity flow (no pun intended) and set the precedent for the newsletter designs. Because this was my first time creating a newsletter, I looked into existing newsletters online and received inspiration from that. Using Adobe Illustrator, I created a template for the newsletter, adjusting the layout as needed in order to fit the content. The colour palette I chose were picked specifically to match Flow’s logo and website, but I kept the colours and layouts different for each newsletter. This created a familiar brand experience to its readers, while giving each newsletter its own uniqueness. I was in constant communication with the content creator to change any edits made to the newsletter’s content. As the content creator was also the leader of our Communications Team, I also received feedback on the designs and was able to make improvements to the design. Through scheduled deadlines, I delivered a total of three quarterly newsletters as well as mutiple event posters they included.

Overview

I designed an information poster for a fictional pumpkin patch event to showcase my understanding of information design (eg: colour, space, unity, audience, efficiency, engagement).
